Handcrafted in my workshop in Cornwall, UK, these are perfect as a soap dish or for keeping your jewellery/earrings, spare change, knick-knacks, car keys, candle or even cosmetics etc on or inside.
The “streaky green” is a sheet of glass that has a random pattern mixture created from light mint opal and deep forest green colours. Due to the colour uniqueness of each square, the rotation of the pattern and overall completed design, everyone will be slightly different.
These coaster/trays have been made with alternate coloured hand cut glass squares and then arranged neatly into a chequered pattern with a layer of clear glass underneath and fused together in the kiln to just over 800°c. For the tray items, the glass is then placed back into the kiln and slumped into shape making it beautiful and eye catching.
