“Seconds” – Handmade fused glass Chequered Green Light & Dark Green Tray

Why is this reduced price? This is a “seconds” item, which is considered to have small imperfections.
#1 – This tray has patches of Devitrification (aka devit) on some of the light green squares which look like scum/fingerprint smudges in certain angles of light that cannot be cleaned off – this occurs sometimes as the molecules in the glass change their structure into that of crystalline solids (please see circled photo as example). This really only shows slightly when angled in certain light positions and struggled to even take a photo of it showing. There are 6 available that all have similar issues.

Each piece of glass is lovingly handcrafted in my workshop in Cornwall UK; and kiln-fused at 800°c, making every dish unique
