“Seconds” – Handmade fused glass Multi-Coloured chequered tray

Why is this reduced price? This is a “seconds” item, which is considered to have small imperfections.
On one of the outside edges, ther eis a little more clear glass from the base layer showing more than I wanted to (please see close up photo).
Handcrafted in my workshop in Cornwall, UK, these are perfect for keeping your jewellery/earrings, spare change, knick-knacks, car keys, candle or even cosmetics etc inside.
Every one will be slightly different but will be similar to the photos and using the same hand cut multi-coloured squares in the same pattern. These are arranged neatly into a chequered pattern with a layer of clear glass underneath and fused together in the kiln to just over 800°c. The glass is then placed back into the kiln and slumped into a square bowl shape making it beautiful and eye catching.
