“Seconds” – Handmade fused glass chess/draughts/checkers board
Price is for 1 x Mint Green & Jade Green board (chess pieces not included)
Why is this reduced price? This is a “seconds” item, which is considered to have small imperfections.
- Two of the Jade Green squares have 2 marks that look like scratches but they are not and seem to be inbetween the layers of glass – the surface is still smooth and glossy (please see photos).
- Another two Jade Green squares have streaky light/dark marks showing in them.
These statement piece chess/draughts/checkers boards are created with 4cm glass squares, handcrafted and kiln-fused at 800°c. The pieces are fused together atop a clear glass base creating a transparent border to make an impact in any room. Perfect as a gift or as a focal point in your home.
Each piece of glass is lovingly handcrafted in my workshop in Cornwall UK; and kiln-fused at 800°c, making every creation unique. The board you receive will be one of a kind, there may be minor imperfections in the glass; these are created naturally in the kiln firing process.
