“Seconds” – Handmade fused glass Bright White & Black Tray

Why is this reduced price? This is a “seconds” item, which is considered to have small imperfections.
- These pieces patches of “devit” marks on several of the white squares. Devitrification is where crystals develop on the surface of the glass but looks like a smudge/haze or fingerprint mark – that cannot be removed (please see circled photo). The Bright White glass is very prone to devit so I normally use the normal, off white version for other pieces. There are 2 available but both similar.
Glass trays add a touch of style and colour to any room around your home. Practical as well as decorative for your keys, spare change, jewellery, candles, soap, and much more.
Each piece of glass is lovingly handcrafted in my workshop in Cornwall UK; and kiln-fused at 800°c, making every dish unique.
