“Seconds” – Handmade fused glass Bullseye Black & Almond Striped Coaster

Why is this reduced price? This is a “seconds” item, which is considered to have a small imperfections.
- These coasters have patches of Devitrification (aka devit) on some of the black stripe edges which look like smudges/fingerprints in certain angles of light that cannot be cleaned off – this occurs sometimes as the molecules in the glass change their structure into that of crystalline solids (please see circled photo as example). This really only shows slightly when angled in certain light positions and struggled to even take a photo of it showing. There are 7 available that all have similar issues.
Each piece of glass is lovingly handcrafted in my workshop in Cornwall UK; and kiln-fused at 800°c, making every coaster unique.
The coaster you receive will be one of a kind; minor imperfections in the glass can be created naturally in the kiln firing process.
