The price is slightly higher than the usual spoonrests due to the lavender glass being double the cost of most of the normal coloured glass (due to the metals contained within it).
Colour: This spoon rest has been made with a stunning combination of opaque lavender and transparent amber/streaky white as shown in the photo. The lavender will appear pinker in incandescent light; bluer in fluorescent light.
Spoon rests are perfect to enhance the artistic style in your kitchen/living area, or a wonderful gift idea. A spoon rest is a place to keep your utensils when cooking and protects your worktop from drips, aesthetically pleasing as well as practical, they are easy to wipe over after use.
Each piece of glass in this spoon rest is lovingly handcrafted in my workshop in Cornwall UK; and kiln-fused at 800°c, making every one unique. Made with alternating hand cut glass squares arranged neatly into a checkerboard pattern, with a layer of clear glass underneath, this piece is kiln fired twice to create the spoon shape.
The spoon rest you receive will be one of a kind, and you may notice some small differences from the photos, or minor imperfections in the glass; these are created naturally in the kiln firing process.
